Minutes

The Bancroft County Public Health Board of Trustees met at 5:30 p.m. in the conference room of the Community Services Building, Adams Junction. Chair Rao called the meeting to order.

Present: Trustees Rao, Kellerman, Benitez, Hoyt, and Mehta. Also present: Public Health Director Dr. Lena Foss and Community Health Nurse Supervisor Karen Whitfield, RN.

Motion by Kellerman, seconded by Benitez, to approve the July 16, 2026 minutes. Carried 5–0.

Director Foss recapped the year's progress: the regional subacute mental health partnership agreement in negotiation, expanded telehealth access following the broadband project, and coordination with the Board of Supervisors' 'Understanding Your Levy' public information initiative regarding SF 2472's hospital levy cap. Foss said the department will bring a full FY2028 budget request this fall reflecting the levy cap.

With no further business, the meeting adjourned at 7:37 p.m.. Next meeting: as scheduled.
