Minutes

The Bancroft County Public Health Board of Trustees met at 5:30 p.m. in the conference room of the Community Services Building, Adams Junction. Chair Rao called the meeting to order.

Present: Trustees Rao, Kellerman, Benitez, Hoyt, and Mehta. Also present: Public Health Director Dr. Lena Foss and Community Health Nurse Supervisor Karen Whitfield, RN.

Motion by Benitez, seconded by Hoyt, to approve the December 18, 2025 minutes. Carried 5–0.

Director Foss reported the Iowa Legislature convened its 2026 session with both a subacute mental health care bill and a property tax reform bill under consideration. Foss noted the property tax bill includes a proposed cap on county hospital levy growth that could affect future county support for regional health partnerships, and said she would track both bills closely.

With no further business, the meeting adjourned at 6:50 p.m.. Next meeting: as scheduled.
