Minutes

The Bancroft County Board of Supervisors met in regular session at 9:00 a.m. in the Supervisors' Room of the courthouse. Chair Ostergaard called the meeting to order.

Present: Supervisors Ostergaard, Whitmore, and Cabrera. Also present: County Auditor Gene Prewitt, recording.

Minutes of August 18, 2026 and claims of $102,333.33 were approved, 3–0 (Whitmore/Cabrera).

Auditor Prewitt updated the Board on FY2028 budget planning, reporting department efficiency proposals are due in September ahead of the formal FY2028 budget calendar this fall.

Assessor Brady previewed the 2027 assessment cycle, the first to apply SF 2472's new assessment classifications, and noted the farm building exemption bill remains carried over for consideration when the legislature reconvenes in January.

No public comment.

Motion by Cabrera, seconded by Whitmore, to adjourn. Motion carried 3–0. Meeting adjourned at 9:29 a.m..
