Minutes

The Bancroft County Board of Supervisors met in regular session at 9:00 a.m. in the Supervisors' Room of the courthouse. Chair Ostergaard called the meeting to order.

Present: Supervisors Ostergaard, Whitmore, and Cabrera. Also present: County Auditor Gene Prewitt, recording.

Minutes of July 14, 2026 and claims of $72,538.38 were approved, 3–0 (Cabrera/Whitmore).

A representative of the Bancroft County Memorial Hospital board briefed supervisors on the hospital levy's 4% annual growth cap under SF 2472, noting it provides more room than the general county levy but still constrains the hospital's ability to keep pace with rising costs for rural emergency and inpatient services. The Board expressed continued support for the hospital board's budget planning.

No public comment.

Motion by Whitmore, seconded by Cabrera, to adjourn. Motion carried 3–0. Meeting adjourned at 9:24 a.m..
