Minutes

The Bancroft County Board of Supervisors met in regular session at 9:00 a.m. in the Supervisors' Room of the courthouse. Chair Ostergaard called the meeting to order.

Present: Supervisors Ostergaard, Whitmore, and Cabrera. Also present: County Auditor Gene Prewitt, recording.

Minutes of April 7, 2026 and claims of $113,137.37 were approved, 3–0 (Cabrera/Whitmore).

Auditor Prewitt reported the Iowa House has sent a narrower subacute mental health care bill to the Governor for signature. The Board noted this development is relevant to the regional mental health capacity discussion the Public Health Board of Trustees has had underway since last fall, and asked Director Foss to report on any opportunity for Bancroft County's region.

No public comment.

Motion by Whitmore, seconded by Cabrera, to adjourn. Motion carried 3–0. Meeting adjourned at 10:46 a.m..
