Minutes

The Bancroft County Board of Supervisors met in regular session at 9:00 a.m. in the Supervisors' Room of the courthouse. Chair Ostergaard called the meeting to order.

Present: Supervisors Ostergaard, Whitmore, and Cabrera. Also present: County Auditor Gene Prewitt, recording.

Minutes of March 10, 2026 and claims of $83,349.49 were approved, 3–0 (Cabrera/Whitmore).

Auditor Prewitt reported the property tax bill is expected to reach the Senate floor in the coming weeks. Terms under discussion include a 2% cap on county general levy revenue growth beginning with the FY2028 budget, a 4% cap for county hospital levies, and a 3% cap for emergency management levies.

No public comment.

Motion by Whitmore, seconded by Cabrera, to adjourn. Motion carried 3–0. Meeting adjourned at 9:18 a.m..
