Minutes

The Bancroft County Board of Supervisors met in regular session at 9:00 a.m. in the Supervisors' Room of the courthouse. Chair Ostergaard called the meeting to order.

Present: Supervisors Ostergaard, Whitmore, and Cabrera. Also present: County Auditor Gene Prewitt, recording.

Minutes of February 24, 2026 and claims of $83,314.14 were approved, 3–0 (Cabrera/Whitmore).

Auditor Prewitt opened FY2027 budget development, directing department heads to submit requests under two scenarios: current law, and a contingency scenario reflecting the levy caps under consideration at the statehouse, so the Board can adopt with confidence regardless of the bill's outcome.

No public comment.

Motion by Whitmore, seconded by Cabrera, to adjourn. Motion carried 3–0. Meeting adjourned at 9:04 a.m..
