Minutes

The Bancroft County Board of Supervisors met in regular session at 9:00 a.m. in the Supervisors' Room of the courthouse. Chair Ostergaard called the meeting to order.

Present: Supervisors Ostergaard, Whitmore, and Cabrera. Also present: County Auditor Gene Prewitt, recording.

Minutes of January 27, 2026 and claims of $53,523.23 were approved, 3–0 (Cabrera/Whitmore).

Motion by Cabrera, seconded by Whitmore, to approve a letter to the county's state senator and representative expressing support for property tax relief for homeowners while urging that any levy cap preserve counties' ability to fund secondary roads, sheriff's patrol, and emergency medical services in rural areas. Carried 3–0. Auditor Prewitt to transmit the letter this week.

No public comment.

Motion by Whitmore, seconded by Cabrera, to adjourn. Motion carried 3–0. Meeting adjourned at 10:36 a.m..
