Minutes

The Bancroft County Board of Supervisors met in regular session at 9:00 a.m. in the Supervisors' Room of the courthouse. Chair Ostergaard called the meeting to order.

Present: Supervisors Ostergaard, Whitmore, and Cabrera. Also present: County Auditor Gene Prewitt, recording.

Minutes of January 6, 2026 and claims of $153,763.63 were approved, 3–0 (Whitmore/Cabrera).

The Board opened the public hearing on the proposed EMS levy at 9:15 a.m. Several Hartsboro-area residents spoke in support, citing recent delayed ambulance response times. No opposition was voiced.

Motion by Whitmore, seconded by Cabrera, to close the hearing and approve the EMS levy, funding one part-time paid EMT position to supplement the Hartsboro volunteer squad beginning July 1, 2026. Carried 3–0.

No public comment.

Motion by Cabrera, seconded by Whitmore, to adjourn. Motion carried 3–0. Meeting adjourned at 9:45 a.m..
