Minutes

The Bancroft County Board of Supervisors met in regular session at 9:00 a.m. in the Supervisors' Room of the courthouse. Chair Ostergaard called the meeting to order.

Present: Supervisors Ostergaard, Whitmore, and Cabrera. Also present: County Auditor Gene Prewitt, recording.

Minutes of December 30, 2025 and claims of $153,735.35 were approved, 3–0 (Cabrera/Whitmore).

Auditor Prewitt reported that the Iowa Legislature convened its 2026 session this week. Property tax levy reform and rural mental health funding are both expected to be considered. The Board directed Prewitt to provide a standing legislative update at each regular meeting through the end of session.

No public comment.

Motion by Whitmore, seconded by Cabrera, to adjourn. Motion carried 3–0. Meeting adjourned at 9:08 a.m..
