Minutes

The Bancroft County Board of Supervisors met in regular session at 9:00 a.m. in the Supervisors' Room of the courthouse. Chair Ostergaard called the meeting to order.

Present: Supervisors Ostergaard, Whitmore, and Cabrera. Also present: County Auditor Gene Prewitt, recording.

Minutes of September 9, 2025 and claims of $138,413.13 were approved, 3–0 (Cabrera/Whitmore).

The Board reviewed ISAC's draft 2026 legislative policy statements, including support for eliminating the farmhouse and farm-building setback exemptions, ensuring the federal government pays its fair share of special district fees on federal land, and establishing geographically dispersed tertiary care hospitals to serve rural regions.

Motion by Cabrera, seconded by Whitmore, to adopt Resolution 2025-14, endorsing the ISAC 2026 legislative policy statements and directing the Auditor to transmit the resolution to the county's state legislative delegation. Carried 3–0.

No public comment.

Motion by Whitmore, seconded by Cabrera, to adjourn. Motion carried 3–0. Meeting adjourned at 9:16 a.m..
