Minutes

The Bancroft County Board of Supervisors met in regular session at 9:00 a.m. in the Supervisors' Room of the courthouse. Chair Ostergaard called the meeting to order.

Present: Supervisors Ostergaard, Whitmore, and Cabrera. Also present: County Auditor Gene Prewitt, recording.

Minutes of April 8, 2025 and claims of $119,457.57 were approved, 3–0 (Cabrera/Whitmore).

County Assessor Owen Brady presented preliminary assessment rolls for review, noting continued growth in agricultural land values across the county's townships.

Brady also briefed the Board on an ISAC legislative bulletin regarding proposed elimination of the farmhouse and farm-building setback property tax exemptions, noting the change, if enacted, would affect an estimated 340 parcels countywide. The Board asked to be kept informed as the issue develops ahead of the 2026 legislative session.

No public comment.

Motion by Whitmore, seconded by Cabrera, to adjourn. Motion carried 3–0. Meeting adjourned at 9:42 a.m..
