Minutes

The Bancroft County Board of Supervisors met in regular session at 9:00 a.m. in the Supervisors' Room of the courthouse. Chair Ostergaard called the meeting to order.

Present: Supervisors Ostergaard, Whitmore, and Cabrera. Also present: County Auditor Gene Prewitt, recording.

Minutes of March 25, 2025 and claims of $119,422.22 were approved, 3–0 (Cabrera/Whitmore).

The Board opened the public hearing on the proposed FY2026 budget at 9:15 a.m. No members of the public spoke in opposition. Auditor Prewitt summarized total expenditures of $9.84 million and a levy rate consistent with the prior year.

Motion by Whitmore, seconded by Cabrera, to close the public hearing and adopt the FY2026 budget as published. Carried 3–0.

Motion by Cabrera, seconded by Whitmore, to certify the adopted budget to the Iowa Department of Management by the statutory deadline. Carried 3–0.

No public comment.

Motion by Whitmore, seconded by Cabrera, to adjourn. Motion carried 3–0. Meeting adjourned at 9:28 a.m..
