Minutes

The Bancroft County Board of Supervisors met in regular session at 9:00 a.m. in the Supervisors' Room of the courthouse. Chair Ostergaard called the meeting to order.

Present: Supervisors Ostergaard, Whitmore, and Cabrera. Also present: County Auditor Gene Prewitt, recording.

Minutes of March 11, 2025 and claims of $89,669.69 were approved, 3–0 (Cabrera/Whitmore).

Motion by Cabrera, seconded by Whitmore, to set April 1, 2025 at 9:15 a.m. as the date and time for a public hearing on the proposed FY2026 county budget. Carried 3–0. Notice to be published as required by law.

Sheriff Ballard requested funding for one additional road patrol deputy in FY2026, citing call volume growth in the county's rural townships. The request will be considered as part of the FY2026 budget.

No public comment.

Motion by Whitmore, seconded by Cabrera, to adjourn. Motion carried 3–0. Meeting adjourned at 10:14 a.m..
